J. Armand Musey, CFA
Mr. Musey is an independent consultant. He was formerly president of Near Earth LLC,
a boutique investment bank specializing in the satellite industry.
Prior to joining Near Earth, Mr. Musey was leading financial analyst
covering the satellite sector at Solomon Smith Barney
and Bank of America.
Mr. Musey is a regular speaker at major satellite industry conferences
and frequently quoted in satellite trade publications and by major
national publications as an expert in satellite finance.
In his spare time, Mr. Musey studies philosophy including the works
of Foucault, Kierkegaard and Nietzsche, and art history. He is an avid
mountain climber, having climbed many of the highest peaks in Africa, Antarctica,
Europe, North America and South America and others.
Mr. Musey has an undergraduate degree with Honors from the
University of Chicago
in Sociology and holds a MBA from the
Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.
He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and a member of the
New York Society of Securities Analysts
where he is chair of their Corporate Governance Committee.
He is currently working on a master's degree in Modern European Studies at Columbia University.
