David Lee Carlson, Executive Director
David Lee Carlson is currently an Assistant Professor at
Hunter
College in the English and Curriculum and Teaching departments.
He is completing his dissertation of Foucault at Teachers
College, Columbia University where he is writing a genealogy
of portfolio assessment in secondary schools in the United
States. David has an M.A. in Literature from American
University in Washington, DC. His research interests
include the relationship between writing pedagogy and power,
and the interaction between examinations and the care of
the self. He will serve as Chair of the Board of Directors
starting in May, 2005.
