About Us

The Foucault Society's mission is to study and apply Michel Foucault's ideas within a contemporary context.

Using Foucault's methods and ideas as a starting point, the Society will address a wide range of issues and disciplines, especially those that are topical and controversial. Scholars, students, activists, artists and all persons interested in Foucault are invited to join. Our primary goal is to create a variety of forums to engage as diverse a group of people and ideas as possible, while maintaining the integrity of the underlying scholarship.

The Foucault Society is a 503 (c) (3) recognized public charity. As such donations are tax deductible under section 170 of the Internal Revenue Code.
