Foucault Society Summer Reading Group
Michel Foucault and Noam Chomsky, The Chomsky-Foucault Debate: On Human Nature (The New Press, 2006).

  • May 31, 2008 until end of July.

  • Text covers many basic concepts of Foucault's thought in perhaps the easiest to understand prose available.

  • We will read page by page out loud and discuss concepts as they arise.

  • Meet weekly on Tuesdays at NYU Center for Social and Cultural Analysis, 41 East 11th Street, Room 709.

  • Sessions start at 6:30pm. If you arrive late and cannot get past the security door, please call Kevin Holley on his cell phone (917-721-3829) and he will come out and let you in.

  • Feel free to bring a beverage -- cups and a bottle opener will be supplied.
